About Our London English Centre
Based in London’s Royal Borough of Greenwich, our English school is a modern building surrounded by many historical and cultural landmarks for you to explore. Plus, our London school offers more than just language learning with a wide selection of facilities, including an on-site gym and pool. You can socialise in our student area and work in our self-study centre. Free Wi-Fi throughout the school and our on-site library allow for learning and entertainment, even outside lessons.
Our English Centre in Greenwich, London, is well-connected to the centre of the city by London Underground tube stations, above-ground train services and local bus services.

Our Students
One of the many benefits of studying at our London English school is the mix of students you will meet! In 2023, we welcomed people from 51 different countries who all wanted to improve their English, including adult students aged 16 and above, and closed-group students aged 10 years and above.

At our London Centre, the Student Services team works hard to make sure all students have a safe, enjoyable experience both in and outside of the classroom.
Our safeguarding standards include the following:
- A 15:1 student-to-staff ratio during lessons
- A 24-hour emergency contact number
- A Safeguarding Lead on duty in each Centre at all times
- Police checks carried out on all staff
For students under 18, we ensure that:
- A high level of support is provided, including a separate induction and weekly welfare tutorials.
- Parents/guardians are informed of lateness or unauthorised absence from class.

Please note that if you are aged 16/17 and enrol on one of our courses, you will join a class of adult students. Students aged 16/17 are not normally supervised outside of class time and will be responsible for their own safety, although Twin will provide guidelines.

Accommodation in London
For London students, we offer a range of accommodation types which are safe and comfortable. Our options include home environments, shared and private rooms or purpose-built residences. Homestay accommodation is available on a full-board, half-board or bed & breakfast basis, and our residences have kitchen facilities available for self-catering. With homestay accommodation, we aim to place students within 60-90 minutes of our London school. Please note that some homestays are provided by trusted local organisers.

There are a wide variety of trips and activities available for a unique cultural and English language experience. Below, you'll see information about activities surrounding our London English Centre, details of transport links and some ideas for exciting trips to take during your stay.
Our London English Centre is located in Greenwich in South-East London, just 5 miles (8 km) away from the city centre.
There are plenty of events and attractions within Greenwich - with a strong history, Greenwich is home to several important landmarks, including the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark ship.
You can also explore pubs, restaurants, and shops before heading to the famous Greenwich Market.
If you don't want to explore alone, the school offers a wide variety of social events every month. You can download an example of our social programme here, or check out what students are doing on our Instagram account.
The London public transport network is divided into travel Zones 1 to 9. Twin English Centre London is in Travel Zone 3, while central London is located in Zone 1. Getting around London is quick and easy using public transport. The fastest way is on the famous London Underground rail network, or the 'Tube’ as it is known to Londoners.
Our English Centre is located within walking distance of North Greenwich underground station, as well as Maze Hill train station and Westcombe Park train station.
A simple 45-minute journey will bring you to famous locations such as Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Covent Garden. Or you could visit one of the city's many free galleries and museums, such as the Science Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the National Gallery, the British Library, or the Natural History Museum.
Some rail companies run 2-for-1 promotions on admission to many of the top attractions – all you have to do is download the vouchers, print a copy and take a valid rail ticket with you. And don't forget: you don’t always have to do the typical tourist attractions. There are all sorts of exciting things that you can do – most of which are cheap or cost nothing at all!
