Twin Summer Centres have recently launched an app for students who are studying at one of our English summer schools. The app has various features designed to make our students’ time in the UK more comfortable and more enjoyable. It provides reassurance that assistance is always readily available, as well as useful information, and the opportunity to communicate with other students easily through social media.
One area of the app is ‘Centres’, which allows you to see a list of our summer centres, including your own, and gives information about each one. The app can also direct you to your summer centre, and lists the centre’s opening hours. The app also has a message board, where centres will post news and important updates.
The app has also been created for parents to download so they can easily read about and see photos of the centre their children are attending. They can also conveniently submit an enquiry or concern through it, and a member of the Summer Centres team will get back to them as soon as possible. Sample timetables are also available on the app, so both parents and students can get an idea of what students will be getting up to during their time at Twin’s summer schools.
Another area of the app is ‘SOS’. To make you feel safer and put your parents’ minds at ease, the ‘SOS’ button on the app provides you with the immediate option of calling Twin’s emergency line, and tells you what to do if you get lost.
There’s a News section too, which provides you with news from each summer centre every day, and you can visit our social media channels, (for example, Facebook and Twitter), directly from the app, for more news, useful information, and the opportunity to communicate with other students. You can also log in to your social media accounts through the app to help you connect with other students. Another section tells you about some of the London tours you might get to take part in; ‘Walks’. Here, you can get a sneak peek into what one of our knowledgeable guides will show you on an exciting tour of the capital.
Finally, there is the ‘Students’ area, where you have access to a Bullying Concern Form, and can also provide us with feedback and suggestions related to the summer centre you’re staying at.
We hope that you’ll find our app useful, fun and reassuring during your time at one of our summer centres. Not only will you be able to share your best times and photos with other students, but also know that Twin staff are just a quick phone call away should you ever need them. Remember to let us know what you think of the new app once you’ve tried it out!
